Jeffrey Jennings Obituary

Jeffrey Hughes Jennings, 65, of Simpsonville, SC passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Born in Greenville, SC, he was a son of the late Francis Brown Jennings, Jr. and Nancy Jean Hughes Jennings Hagan. Jeff graduated from The Citadel in 1982, where he began to cultivate the charisma and outgoing spirit that would characterize his life. Jeff was a gifted athlete and was selected to represent SC in the 1977 Shrine Bowl. Later he earned a football scholarship from The Citadel, where he had four successful years. He had an unparalleled ability to connect with others, making friends wherever his journey took him. Those who knew Jeff will remember his infectious personality and his great love for life, especially his cherished time in Charleston, SC. A dedicated stockbroker, Jeff made his mark at firms such as Edward D. Jones, American Federal, Edgar Norris, and Smith Barney, where he applied his sharp expertise in the financial industry. Jeff is survived by his brother, Wesley Teague Jennings; nephew, Wesley Teague Jennings, Jr.; and niece, Mary Catherine Jennings. Services will be private.
