Jeffrey Jennewine Obituary

Jeffrey Sanderson Jennewine, known to many as "Bones", passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025. He is survived by his brother, Daniel Melvin Jennewine, brother-in-law, Floyd D. Light, sister-in-law Ruth R. Light, and niece Angie Lynn Wing. He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Lynn Jennewine, mother Jackie Lee Jennewine and sister Julie Ann Light.

Jeff was a gentle giant with a kind soul and a rare gift for making everyone laugh. He never met a stranger, always making people feel welcome, and had the ability to change the energy of a room with his warm presence. A die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Jeff loved Rock-and-Roll musicespecially the Rolling Stones and was happiest when working outside with his hands.

Born in Sylvania, OH, Jeff attended Northview High School (Class of 1979). In 1981, he moved to Greenville, SC and later earned a degree from the University of South Carolina. Jeff enjoyed a long career with U.S. Airways, where he worked proudly for 14 years, before retiring from Greenville County Parks and Recreation.

Jeff will be remembered for his strong hugs, warm nature, and endearing quirkslike his unmistakable laugh, his love for tradition and his cherished vintage Dodge pickup truck. He will be deeply missed.

The family will hold a graveside service at Toledo Memorial Park on February 1, 2025 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Pet Haven of South Carolina.
