Jan Kellett Obituary

Janice "Jan" Cates Kellett went to live in her mansion in Heaven on October 20, surrounded by her beloved husband and children. A servant to many and a joy to everyone who was lucky enough to cross her path, most of her time was spent caring for her family, her friends, planning the yearly family beach trip, and enjoying her time living in her mountain home with her devoted husband. Born on July 12, 1957 to George and Doris Cates in Fountain Inn, South Carolina, Jan enjoyed life with her siblings, Brenda Chapman and Price Cates. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings. Jan met Tony in 1971, and they celebrated their 50th year of marriage this year. Jan is survived by her husband, James "Tony" Kellett, their two children, Jason T. Kellett and his wife Wendy, and Jennifer Kellett. She is affectionately called "Nano" by her 6 loved and adored grandchildren, Jake Kellett, Xander Moore and his wife Heather, Tyler Moore, Mia Kellett, Zoe Moore and Joss Moore. She will also be greatly missed by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and all the family she's adopted along the way. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 24th, 2025 at Fletcher Funeral Service from 1:00pm-2:00pm. A celebration of life will follow in the chapel beginning at 2:00pm. Jan will be laid to rest at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Pickens, SC.
