Jamie Forrester Obituary

Jamie Self Forrester, age 73, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Born on April 16,1952, in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Harrison "Hassie" Forrester Sr. and Martha Elizabeth Self Forrester, and step-daughter to Anne C. "Pudgy" Forrester. Jamie was a proud graduate of both Greenville High School and Columbia College. After graduating, she lived many years in Pawleys Island before relocating to Florida. While in Florida, she enjoyed a career of working with seniors and organizing fun and meaningful activities within an assisted living facility. She was a loving and caring person to all that new her, especially her family. Jamie also had a special love for animals, especially dogs. Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Harrison Smith Forrester, Jr., and his wife, Stacy; her step-brother, G. Jackson Hughes, Jr., and wife, Velda; step-sisters, Laura Hughes Graves and Rita Hughes Waloszcyk and husband, Mike. In addition to her parents, Jamie was preceded in death by her sister, Marsha Hunt Forrester Gilmore of Greer. A memorial service to honor her life will be held at a later date in Pawley's Island, where she called home.
