Duncan, SC
James Hugh Snow, 88 of Duncan passed away peacefully October 18, 2025. Born in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late James W. and Mary Davis Snow and husband of the late Bobbie Faye Hannon Snow. Hugh was a veteran of the National Guard, a Mason and retired from Springs Industries. Hugh was a former longtime and faithful member of Abner Creek Baptist Church where is served many years as a staff member, deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member. Hugh was a current member of Burnsview Baptist Church. Hugh was a 1957 graduate of James F. Byrnes High School and attended North Greenville College. In his spare time Hugh's passions were working on his family farm and visiting local nursing homes to share his faith and love for his Lord and Savior and his salvation. Hugh's favorite Bible Verse was Ephesians 2:8-9 Salvation is a gift from God received through grace by faith, not earned by good works. Hugh never met a stranger, his humility and kindness will be remembered by the many lives he touched.
Survivors include his daughter Lisa Snow Miller, son James Todd Snow (Keri), three grandchildren, Brooke Allender Cunningham (Alex), Tyler David Snow (Haley), and Kaci Snow; three great grandchildren Emma Kate Snow, James Hudson Snow and Rawlings Scott Cunningham.
He was also predeceased by a son-in-law, David Lee Miller; a brother John Allen Snow; and a special aunt, Olive Snow Crain.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Stribling Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tim Huckaby officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the service.
Interment will be held at Abner Creek Baptist Church.

The family will be at the home of Lisa Snow Miller.
The family would like to give thanks to Interim Hospice and a very special thank you to the love, care and support to the wonderful staff at Ashlan Village and in the words of James Hugh Snow, " Thank you and I love you."
