Jacqueline Angel Obituary

Jacqueline "Jackie" Angel, born on March 2, 1938 in Norwich, Connecticut passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025 in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Jackie was a lover of nature and enjoyed spending time at Avery Point and Watch Hill, Rhode Island. She loved sports and held season tickets to see the woman's basketball team, The Mohegan Sun. Jackie lived most of her life in Norwich, but later moved to Westerly, Rhode Island residing at Champlin Woods. Jackie loved her condo with seasonal views of the ocean. Jackie spent her final years in Fountain Inn South Carolina at the home of her daughter Elizabeth Gruss. There she was surrounded by children, grandchildren and great grands. Jackie was predeceased by her husband, Norman Angel; and siblings, Daniel Bargnesi, Jean Becker, Patricia Exley, and Geraldine Bargnesi. She is survived by her sister, Dr Mary Lou Bargnesi Gahagan; her daughters, Elizabeth Gruss (Bill), Heather Angel (David CAnnaday), and Erin Angel (Frank Cofone); two grandchildren, Kyle Gregson (Rachel) and Meghan Kelly (Jeremy); and five great grandchildren, Aiden, Maddie, Addie, Lydie, and Wyatt. No services are planned. Jackie would want those who knew her to simply gather and enjoy time with each other.
