With a heavy heart, we learned of the passing of Jane.

Our lifelong friendship began over 30 years ago in Greenville, at Stoneledge Plantation Apartments on Roper Mountain Road.

Saturday evenings, our families gathered to make pork and shrimp dumplings. On Sunday mornings, Hu Jun and I played tennis. Those simple routines became some of our most treasured memories.

When my son Sean first came to the U.S. from China, Jane and Hu Jun gave him a train set - a locomotive with circling tracks. Sean loved it, and we will always remember that.

Jenny and Alice arrived within just a few weeks of each other, bringing so much joy, happiness, and closeness to our families - something we will never forget.

After more than seven wonderful years in Greenville, sharing life side by side, we moved away. But the friendship we built during those years has never faded.

Several years ago, while we were in Atlanta for a brief stay, Pam and I made the drive to Greenville for the weekend so we could see you. We shared dinner, talked late into the evening, and stayed in your home. It reminded us how special our friendship was and how deeply connected we had remained over the years.

Jane, we are here today to celebrate your life, to express our sorrow, and to cherish the friendship we were blessed to share with you.

You built a beautiful life with Hu Jun, an amazing and devoted man. Together, you raised two wonderful daughters. You were surrounded by friends who are deeply grateful to have known you - to have walked this journey of life alongside you.

We are here today to say farewell. You were a dear and cherished friend. To Pam, to me, to our son Sean and our daughter Alice - you were family.

Jane, you will always be remembered and forever loved. Rest in peace.

With heart full of sorrow and reluctance, we come to understand that your smile has journeyed to a distant horizon. May that shore be free from worry, illness and pain. Rest peacefully, dear friend.

Twenty-five years isn't just a friendship; it´s a lifetime of shared stories, inside jokes, and growing up together. Today, our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to Huaizhen. From the small gathering in John´s house around 2000 to just being a message away, Huaizhen was our constant. The world feels a little quieter without her laugh, but we are so grateful for every second of the two and a half decades we had. Rest easy, our dearest friend.
