It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Henry Brodis "Saphire" Miller, who departed this life on February 7, 2026, at the age of 99. Born on December 26, 1926, in Kyles Ford Tennessee, Henry spent his life dedicated to his family and career as a truck driver in the trucking industry.
As a trucker, he spent over 60 years and millions of miles providing for his family. When he was home, he spent his time teaching his girls how to change 42 quarts of oil in the big rig and catching up on Amos & Andy and Sanford & Son. He even tried to retire the first time in his late 70's, but the road called him back. He drove for almost 10 more years. Once he did settle down, he loved to tinker with cars and lawnmowers, but was never much for conversation.
Henry Brodis Miller's quiet love, strength, and dedication to his family will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew him. Our memories of his abruptly ending phone calls and growly bad words when he didn't agree will always be cherished, because a cantankerous grin would usually follow.
He will be deeply missed. Next time you have a cup of cornbread and milk, have a big ol' bite in his memory.
Henry is survived by his sons, Jim Miller (Deanie), Donald Miller (the late Lilly Mae), George Miller, and Rick Miller (Donna); his daughters, Linda Hendricks (the late Eugene) and Carolyn Garrett (the late Shawn); a sister Mary Jane Sloan (the late Harvey), and a brother Dale Miller.
Grandsons and granddaughters include, Natalie Anderson, Ciamelle Miller, Nathan Miller, Shawn Hendricks, Sam Fuller, George Miller Jr., Jamie Walden, Emily Miller, Olivia Zadoian. His great-grandchildren include, Ashelie, Seth, Cole, Hunter, Kaitlyn, Adalyn, Bentley, Brandon, Paige, Brianna, Brooklyn, George, Molly, Reese, Ekaterina, and Jackson.
In addition to his parents, Emerson Miller and Loydie Miller, Henry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nellie Lee Miller, a daughter, Judy Fuller (the late Truman), and a brother, Ronald Miller (Debra). He was also preceded by his oldest grandson, Michael Hendricks, granddaughter, Angel Aguasvivas, Susan Zeron, and great-great granddaughter, Hazel.
This totaled 7 children, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
