Ginny Ready Obituary

Virginia "Ginny" Caroline Ready, a beloved wife, mother, "Granny", and friend, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on May 31, 1932, in Meigs, Georgia, she was one of five children born to Hubert and Edna Willingham Stanaland. Known for her fierce spirit and courageous heart, Ginny lived a life filled with warmth, compassion, and dedication to her family and community. Her career in the retail industry began at B.C. Moore's in Simpsonville. She dedicated 25 years of her professional life to Belk as a Buyer, where her keen eye for fashion and commitment to excellence made a lasting impact. A passionate gardener, Ginny found joy in nurturing her flowers and sharing their beauty with family and friends. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, relishing the time spent with all of the grands. She held dear the memories of neighborhood block parties on Maple Drive, a time filled with laughter and community spirit. Her warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who encountered her. Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Carol Anslow (Randy) and Charlene Dillard (Kent); her four treasured grandchildren, Christopher Revelle (Erica), Ashton Caroline Hall (Tyler), Cameron Anslow, and Daniel Caden Anslow; as well as her two great-grandchildren, Brantley and Jaxton Hall. She also leaves behind her brothers, Danny Stanaland (Donna) and Von Stanaland; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband of 37 years, she was reunited in heaven with her son, Charles "Chotty" Ready, Jr. ; her sister, Donnice Wills; brother, Gene Stanaland and his wife, Dot; and a sister-in-law, Gwen Stanaland. To honor Ginny's life and legacy, friends and loved ones are invited to the visitation at Fountain Inn First Baptist Church on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service 12:00 noon. She will be laid to rest in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park. Ginny will be remembered for her unwavering love, fierce spirit, and the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to shine through her family and all those she touched throughout her remarkable life.
