Geraldine Boling Obituary

Geraldine Canada Boling, 85, beloved wife of the late Charles Jackson Boling, Sr., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 8, 2025. Born and raised in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Charlotte Hightower Canada and a lifelong member of the Berea community. Geraldine graduated from Parker High School and was a devoted member of Berea First Baptist Church. She had a deep love for nature and found joy in working in her yard and tending to her flowers. Above all, Geraldine cherished her family. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. She will be remembered as a woman of strong faith, unwavering family values, and a kind heart. Geraldine was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of many. She is survived by daughter, Linda Boling Gillespie; son, Chuck Boling (Cheryl); grandchildren, Tamara Dickenson, Nathan Gillespie (Amanda), and Emma Boling; and great-grandchildren, Trent Wright, Hunter Gillespie, Trinaty Dickenson, Jadyn Dickenson, and Chloe Gillespie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Tammy Boling Campbell; brothers, Joel, Bill, Roy, James, Marvin, and Eugene Canada; and a sister, Ruth Franklin. A visitation will be held Friday, September 12, 2025 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with the graveside service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
