Georgie Lewis Obituary

Georgie A Lewis, 91, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025. Born in Walhalla, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Idel Collens Durham. Georgie was loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family and loved her flowers. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Thetle Genovese (Ron) and Elease Seigler (Mark), Michelle Yelton (David); son-in-law, Tom Maida, 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren;1 sister; 4 brothers; 1 brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lewis; a daughter, Theresa Maida; 5 sisters and several nephews. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Friends are encouraged to share their favorite memories of Georgie with the family by clicking on the button labeled "Share A Memory".
