Georgia Farr Obituary

Georgia Lee Farr, 89, passed away on July 20th, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Her family is deeply saddened by her sudden death. Georgia was born on June 17, 1936 in Union, South Carolina.

Georgia is survived by her son, Kelvin Farr of the home; grandson, Omari Farr of the home; and granddaughter, JosLynn Neal of Hendersonville, NC; niece, Lois (Dennis) Gray of Mill Springs, NC; nephew, Jimmy (Eddie Mae) Murriel of Spartanburg, SC; niece, Tracy Murriel of Inman, SC; nephew, Brian Murriel of inman, SC; nieces, Wanda Farr, Crystal Russell Mings, and Stephanie Russell of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of great nieces and nephews and a family friend, Denisa Thorne.

Georgia was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Ann Farr; grandsons, Andy Lee Farr and Christopher Farr; brothers, William Farr, Leroy Farr, Earnest Farr, and Willie James Farr; sisters, Beatrice Murriel, Essie Teeter, Vienna Kirkland, Eva Louise Farr, and Elizabeth Farr; nephews, Bobby Murriel, James Murriel, and Charles Murriel; niece, Pamela Gant; parents, Quinten Farr and Sibbie Gregory Farr.

Georgia was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile was so stunning it would light up the whole room. She cared so deeply for the people around her. She was so kind and passionate. She was a wonderful cook who fed a lot of people over the years. She also took care of a lot of children. Georgia made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed.
