George Arnold Obituary

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved his appearing. II Timothy 4:7-8 (NIV) Mr. George Leroy Arnold, age 77 of 7 Mattison St., Williamston, SC, departed this life on Monday, September 8th, 2025, at his home. Leroy was born the eldest of 8 children to the late Mr. George Perry Arnold and Mrs. Mildred Young Arnold on October 16, 1947. Leroy was born and raised in Williamston, SC and attended the public schools of Williamston, SC as well. Leroy attended New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Williamston, SC. Leroy was a faithful and dedicated employee of Thomas Concrete of Greenville, SC until his health began to decline. Leroy was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and a sister. Leroy was as straight forward as they came, and he did not mind telling you just how he felt. In Leroy's spare time, he could be found piddling around in his yard, playing with his fur baby named Buster, or watching western and old war movies. He will forever be remembered as a hardworker and for his unwavering love and devotion to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, Barbara Campbell Arnold of the home; his beloved mother, Mrs. Mildred Young Arnold of Williamston, SC; his daughters, Dorothy Rena Arnold of Williamston, SC, Georgetta Francisco of San Antonio, TX, Brittany (Darrius) Dobbs, La'Chyna Arnold, and Ashley Arnold all of Greenville, SC; his sons, Jonathan Arnold of Minneapolis, MN, Corey (Nikki) Arnold of Easley, SC, Dwain Arnold of Savannah, GA, and Tobius Arnold of Greenville, SC; his stepsons, Justin Campbell of the home, Jacarius Campbell of Williamston, SC, and Royriquez Owens of Anderson, SC; 9 grandchildren (1 on the way); 5 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his brothers, William (Catherine) Arnold of Greensboro, NC, Calvin Arnold of Hope Mills, NC, Kenny Arnold and Jerry Arnold both of Williamston, SC; his sisters, Sherline Arnold and Mable Slade both of Williamston, SC, Constance Arnold Gantt of Charleston, SC; his sister-in-law, Brenda (Daron) Williford, Sr. of Williamston, SC and Wanda Sanders of Greenville, SC; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
