Gary Cawthon Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Don Cawthon, 74, of Easley, SC who peacefully departed this world on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. A devoted husband to Lisa for over 25 years, and a loving father to Brian Cawthon and Madison Cawthon, Gary Don Cawthon will be deeply missed. Gary was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and was a son of the late William and Helen Rambo Cawthon. He was a veteran of the United States Army. His unwavering love, infectious laughter, and love for fishing will be remembered by all who knew him. He was a pillar of strength for his family, always putting their needs first, and leaves behind a legacy of kindness and dedication. In addition to his beloved wife and children he is survived by his brother, William Cawthon of Arkansas and sister, Priscilla Kruell of Minnesota. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Julie Cawthon of Minnesota and Mary Bowman of Oklahoma. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, followed by a graveside memorial service at 11:00 a.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road, Greenville SC 29607 or https://www.greenvillehumane.com/.
