Furman Vaughn Obituary

Butch Vaughn Greer, SC Furman Edward Vaughn, 78, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025. He was the son of the late Lethia Virginia Vaughn. Butch was a former lineman with CPW and did some contract work for Duke Power. He was a member of Greer Church of God. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Tapp and her husband, Chris and Tammy Cansler; a son, James "Eddie" Vaughn and his fiancée, Crystal Lynne; six grandchildren, Garrett Joseph Vaughn, Noah McCall Vaughn, Tamela Tooley (the late Chris), Keshia McKeehan (Danny), CJ Tapp (Erin) and Adam Tapp; six great-grandchildren, Skye Tooley, Milana Tooley, Georgia Tooley, Quinton Tooley, Travis McKeehan, Scarlett McKeehan, Gibson Tapp and Liam Tapp; eight great-great grandchildren; and a great-great-great grandchild, Stetson Tooley. Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Stribling Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Brown and Scotty Cannon officiating. The family will receive friends from 1PM until 2PM prior to the service. Interment will be held at Wood Memorial Park.
