Freddie Davenport Obituary

I enjoyed flying with Freddie for years. I also enjoyed his quiet, calm, soft spoken demeanor. I know that he is with our Lord and Savior today because of his personal testimony. One day we will be reunited.

I'm a relatively new member of WCRC and never got to know Freddie well, I do know that he was a good man and will be sorely missed by both his family and friends.

I am a new member of the Skyhawks flying club and have heard about Freddie´s involvement with the club and appreciate everything I get to enjoy because of his dedication to model RC airplanes

Freddie was such a pleasure to be around and we will all certainly miss him. Rest in peace my friend.

I will truly miss Freddie and chatting with Linda when she came to WCRC Flying club. I remember Freddie as one would always laugh at my corny jokes. He repaired one of my foamie planes to be almost like new. He was always willing to help out. We had several conversations about how to operate a sound system at church. A great friend.

Very sorry to hear of Freddie's passing. I know he was a great friend to the WCRC and its members and know he will be missed. May he rest in peace and be happily remembered for a life well lived.

I am very thankful to Freddie´s participation and support of WCRC community and flying field. My two girls, Martina and Amelia, and I have greatly enjoyed sharing this hobby with him and all the members of WCRC and will miss his presence at our field. My condolences to Linda and their family.

I knew Freddie for about ten years, and he was one of the first WCRC members who welcomed me into the hobby. His kindness, support, and genuine friendship meant a great deal to me. He will be deeply missed.

My sons and I joined the flying club too late to get to know Freddie well, but we are the grateful beneficiaries of what he helped to build. We´re keeping his family in our prayers.

I met Freddy and Linda at Holly Springs, RKRC, when WCRC did not have a field to fly on. As everyone knows, he was a gentleman and a kind soul. I always enjoyed flying RC and talking to him.

Our condolences to Freddie's wife (Linda) and to family and friends. Freddie was a faithful club member, and Linda came with him to the flying field often. He stood behind the club without reservation during our early struggles. Freddie was just a kind and helpful member who enjoyed flying and fellowshipping at the club. He was always willing to reach out and help and make positive suggestions on the club's behalf. Freddie was not afraid to get his hands dirty and worked hard more than he should have. Freddie and Linda made our Flight Stands and handled our sign up and fees and our raffles at our Fly-Ins, and much more. A friend indeed who will be missed this side of Heaven! Well see you on the other side my friend!

Jane and my sincere condolences and prayers for your comfort that his journey was ended, and he is resting with our Lord in Heaven.

Freddie was my very good friend and a respected co-worker at BAMA Foods / Borden and The C.F. Sauer Company. His knowledge of the plants of both companies proved him to be one of the most trusted sources of information and a valued teammate for any project.

He will truly be missed by all of us who knew him.
