Fred Mullinax Obituary

Fred Eugene Mullinax, 83, of Greer, South Carolina, quietly left us to meet Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 24, 2025. A native of Greer, South Carolina, son of the late Hubert Mullinax and Jesse Mae Herd Mullinax, he was a graduate of Greer High School, a retired employee of Detroit Broach, and a member of Fulton Presbyterian Church in Greer, South Carolina. He was also a Mason and member of the Bailey Masonic Lodge. Fred left behind the legacy of family and friends he adored. Surviving are his wife of 65 years that he loved, Brenda Gail Mullinax of the home; two children, Freda G. Mullinax (Frank) and Richard "Rick" E. Mullinax both of Greer; a brother, Wayne Mullinax of Greer; and extended family members. Fred was a caring man not only toward his family, but with his many friends. He will truly be missed. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2025, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, 300 West Poinsett Street, Greer, South Carolina 29650, conducted by Andrew Smith and Larry Teachey. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, North Carolina 28607 or Alzheimer's Association, 123 West Antrim Drive, Greenville, South Carolina 29607.
