Erlene Brown Obituary

Mrs. Erlene Harvey Brown, wife of Dr. Ralph Brown, went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2025, at the age of 100. A lifelong resident of Greer, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late William Earl and Bernice Gwinn Harvey. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found great joy in caring for her family, friends and countless others that crossed her path. She was a member of Greer First Baptist Church since 1946 where she loved teaching Sunday School to children and adults as well as serving in various other capacities. Surviving are two daughters, Karen Beason (Sam) and Kathy Lenser (Craig); four grandchildren, Katie Beason Tuten (Will), Emily Beason Vidovich (Aaron), Kyle Lenser and David Lenser; two great grandchildren, Owen and Campbell Tuten; nephews Chuck and Mitch Harvey, as well as many special cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, W. E. (Dub) Harvey, Jr. The family wishes to give special thanks to our wonderful caregivers, Dr. Lynette Guirao, and Interim Home Health and Hospice for their exceptional care for our mom through these years. A graveside service conducted by Dr. Doug Mize will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Wood Memorial Park, 863 Gap Creek Rd, Duncan, S.C. The family will be at their homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greer First Baptist Church, 201 West Poinsett St. Greer, S.C. 29650 Online condolences may be made to www.thewoodmortuary.com.
