Emily Blassingame Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Emily Abigail Blassingame, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend, who left this world on February 16, 2026, at the age of 40. Born on January 16, 1986, in Fort Worth, Texas, Emily brought warmth, kindness, and an infectious smile to everyone she encountered.

Emily was a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to caring for others. Her nurturing spirit and big heart allowed her to foster deep connections with friends and family alike, lighting up any room she entered. She was a proud manager at Legacy Security, where her passion for helping others truly shined.

Emily's love for reading was evident, particularly her admiration for the works of Jeffery Deaver. As a wife to Maurice Blassingame, whom she married on February 12, 2021, and a loving mother to her two wonderful children, Joshua and Abigail. Emily poured her heart into her family, ensuring that they always felt cherished and supported.

She also leaves behind her father, Jesse Miller, her mother, Lisa Miller; her twin sister, Elizabeth Duncan (Jake), her brother Joseph Miller; her brother-in-law Jonathan Blassingame; and her beloved in-laws, John and Chong "Kim" Blassingame. Emily's legacy will continue through her family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown, located at 639 N. Main Street, Greenville, SC 29601.

As we gather to celebrate Emily's life, we invite all to remember her spirit of love, compassion, and the joy she brought into our lives. She will forever remain in our hearts.
