Elizabeth Patterson Obituary

Betty Patterson Woodruff, SC Elizabeth "Betty" Cox Patterson, 83, passed away on Monday, September 08, 2025. Born in Woodruff, she was the daughter of the late William Kyle Cox, Sr. and Roberta Elizabeth Kilgore Cox and the wife of the late Jack Arthur Patterson. She was a graduate of Woodruff High School and attended Queen College in Charlotte, NC for two years before graduating from the University of South Carolina in 1964. Betty was previously employed with Woodruff School District 4, she was owner and operator of Window Box Florist in Woodruff and was a homemaker. An active member of First Presbyterian Church of Woodruff, she was also a volunteer board member of Woodruff Community Center. Survivors include her three sons, Tripp Patterson of Charleston, Tyler Patterson and his wife, Lori of Woodruff and Troy Patterson and his wife, Carter of Inman; her brother, William Kyle Cox, Jr.; her sister, Frances "Frankie" Cox Mason; and four grandchildren, Jolie Patterson, Sam Patterson, Jack Patterson and Kyle Patterson. The family will host a visitation at the home in Woodruff on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 6PM until 8PM. A celebration of life will be held at 2:30PM on Friday, September 12, 2025 at First Presbyterian Church of Woodruff.
