Edward Remick Obituary
Edward Martin Remick, 76, passed away October 6, 2025, surrounded by family, after a valiant battle with a rare, aggressive cancer.
Born August 22, 1949, in Media, PA to Edward and Margaret (Feydt) Remorenko, Martin was a brilliant and inquisitive man. He attended Seton Hall Preparatory School (1967) and received his BS, MS, and PhD (1981) in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. Martin was an avid cyclist, and in addition to riding with his friends as often as possible, he volunteered with the Village Wrench program and with Prisma UCAN. DuPont Forest was a favorite place to ride, and he volunteered with Friends of Dupont Forest, helping with trail clearing and maintenance. He rode on many charity rides, raising money for worthy causes including Palmetto Peloton Project's 3rd Annual Challenge to Conquer Cancer relay ride to Austin, Texas, raising $10,000. In addition to road riding, Martin enjoyed mountain biking and more recently, gravel rides. He enjoyed touring bike trips with his friends and loved teaching his children and grandchildren to cycle. In addition to cycling, Martin loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, fishing, and sailing his Y Flyer. Martin was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church and served as a Vestry member there until his death.
