Edward Gaskins Obituary

Though he is gone from our sight, the light of Mr. Edward Junior Gaskins' life will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Edward Junior Gaskins, who departed this life peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the age of 81. Edward was born on July 8, 1944, to the late Lake Katherine Williams. A devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother, and faithful friend, he will be remembered for his warm spirit, strength of character, and dedication to his family and community. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his beloved wife, Mrs. Norma Jean Gaskins; one son, Lamar Edwards; and three daughters, Nikki Williams, Stephanie Hill, and Tina McNeil. He is also survived by two loving brothers, Wayne Gaskins and Jeffery Gaskins, along with a host of other relatives and dear friends. A public viewing will be held on Sunday, August 10, from 11am-5pm at Beasley Funeral home Chapel (Greenville) Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Rock of Ages Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina. The family will gather for final committal and burial on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, South Carolina, where Mr. Gaskins will be honored for his life and legacy. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Beasley Funeral Home, Greenville.
