Denise Shenton Obituary

Denise Ann Shenton, 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, at 1:16 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 from her home in Simpsonville, SC.
She was born on July 3, 1952 in Steubenville, Ohio. She was married to her loving husband, James Shenton for 55 ½ years and had two sons, Rod Shenton (Genevieve) and Brian Shenton (Carisa). Denise is also survived by her grandson, Titus Shenton (20); and granddaughter, Lexie Shenton (17). She loved her family deeply and had many dear friends.
Denise was devoted to and loved her Lord Jesus. From her home in Ontario, CA, she invited Jesus into her heart to be her Lord when she was 22 years old while with her friend, Mary Ann.
She enjoyed going to church to worship, singing, and dancing. Denise also loved walking on the beach, seeing sunsets, dining out, and tennis. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, which included watching Titus play basketball and Lexie run cross-country and track.
Denise continues to be loved and will be missed by many!
A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Mariners Church Irvine, followed by a reception from 4:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m. in the Upper Room.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
