Deborah Tipton Obituary

Deborah Laster Tipton, 61, passed away September 10, 2025. A native of Spartanburg County, South Carolina, daughter of Bill and Elaine Laster of Greer, South Carolina, she was a former employee of South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles and a member of Apalache Baptist Church. Also surviving are two sons, Justin S. Tipton (Whitney) of Lexington, South Carolina and Corey B. Tipton of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; two sisters, Laurie L. White and Kim L. Fowler (John) of Greer, South Carolina; and two grandchildren, Clara Grace Tipton and Amelia Mae Tipton. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Apalache Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Butch Howard and Rev. Brian Childers. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:45 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Apalache Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Apalache Baptist Church, 1915 Gap Creek Road, Greer, South Carolina 29651. Online condolences may be made at www.thewoodmortuary.com.
