David Hart Obituary

David Ray Hart, 78, passed away August 25, 2025. A native of Spartanburg, son of the late Levi Ellison and Zelma Bishop Kelly Hart, he was a United States Army Veteran, retired machinist for Leigh Fibers, Inc., and of the Christian faith. Surviving are a son, Danny R, Hart (Ashley) of Inman; a daughter, Tammy R. Hart (Daniel) of Campobello; a sister, Christine H. Dillard of Lyman; and three grandchildren, Selena, Mason, and Morgan. Mr. Hart was predeceased by two brothers, J.B. Hart and Gene Hart. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2025, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Dr. Keith Kelly. Visitation will be held 9:30-10:45 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2025, at The Wood Mortuary. Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025, at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
