Danny Alexander Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Danny Charles Alexander, a beloved husband, friend, and dedicated worker, who departed from this world on October 1, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on May 17, 1959, in Greenville, South Carolina to the late to Charles Lee Alexander and Margaret Louise Tucker Alexander. Danny's life was a tapestry woven with hard work and joyous pursuits. Danny dedicated 40 years of his life to the 3M Company, serving as a trainer in the converting department. His unwavering commitment to his craft and the people he worked with left a lasting impact on many who had the privilege to know him. Beyond his professional life, Danny was a vibrant soul who embraced life with enthusiasm. He particularly enjoyed Friday nights with his wife, and her delicious homemade meatloaf. He found joy in playing golf and billiards with his buddies and enjoying the thrill of snow skiing and water sports. A lover of adventures, he reveled in riding his motorcycle, bowling, and line dancing under the stars. Danny especially looked forward to his conversations with Pops Riddle and Mrs. Joycee. His spirit shone brightly when cheering on the Clemson Tigers, embodying the passion and camaraderie that defines true sportsmanship. Danny is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Alexander, who shared the adventures of life with him. His also leaves behind his son, Daniel Chad Alexander; daughter, Casi Danielle Davis (Brian); step-daughter, Christine Shaver (Ross); brothers, Terry Alexander (Lynn), Benny Alexander, and Randy Alexander; and six grandchildren, Mandy, Megan, Morgan, Caylee, Bryce, and Chase. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by grandson, Zachary Shaver. A visitation will be held Wednesday October 8, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Entombment will be in Graceland East Memorial Park Mausoleum. In honor of Danny's courageous fight, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. As we reflect on Danny's life, we are reminded of his warmth, laughter, and the many ways he touched the lives of those around him. May his legacy of love and joy continue to inspire us as we carry him in our hearts.
