Connie Harrison Gillespie, 82, widow of David Allen Gillespie, Sr., went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 23, 2025, at her home.

Born August 22, 1943, in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Whitner "Whitt" Harrison and Corrie Strange Harrison. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church where she served as the church organist for 31 years.

Surviving is her daughter, Donna Ann Gillespie of Spartanburg; son, David Allen Gillespie Jr. (Tammy) of Spartanburg; sister, Donna Casey of Greenville; brother, Ted Harrison of Woodruff; grandchildren, Allen Gillespie (Virginia), Skylar Cooley (Justin), Sloane Knepp (Zach); great-grandchildren, Austyn Cooley, Maelynn Cooley, Marshall Cooley, Hudson Cooley, Harper Knepp, Hampton Knepp, Harrison Knepp and Sheffield Gillispie.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Sean Michale Mears.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Tuesday November 25, 2025, at St. James United Methodist Church, 213 N. Lanford Road Spartanburg, SC. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Andrew Wolfe officiating. A private family interment will follow in Nazareth Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James United Methodist Church, 213 N. Lanford Road Spartanburg, SC 29301.
