Mrs. Stacy Renee Mitchell-Henderson entered this life on December 4, 1969, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Jean Gilbert and Leroy Henderson Sr.
Stacy received her education in the Kansas City, Kansas School district, attending Grant Elementary School, Rosedale Middle School, and graduated from Schlagle High School in 1988. She then went to AVTS (Area Vocational Technical School) right after high school for cosmetology. She joined General Motors Corporation in 1995 and was a member of UAW Local 31. She was faithful for 30 years, she finally retired on June 1, 2025.
Stacy loved to cook. She had over 100 cookbooks and was always looking for a new recipe. Every store she went to she purchased a new seasoning to cook with. She loved hosting parties and wanted everyone to try her latest dish. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved to go out with her closest friends. She could dance and two-step circles around people. Stacy loved the Lord with all her heart and spirit and was baptized at Victoria Tabernacle.
Stacy met Jared Henderson and married on February 14, 2016. They were united for 9 years. They enjoyed traveling, dinner dates and their “fur” babies DeDe, Duke, and Jadore.
Her family was her heartbeat, and she would give the shirt off her back to anyone. Her children were her pride and joy. She was so excited to become a grandma.
Stacy departed this life and journey into eternity on Saturday August 2, 2025. Her maternal grandfather, Oscar Lee Mitchell; maternal great-grandmother, Alma “Doug” Fields; maternal grandmother, Amoree “Marie” Mitchell; niece, KeVon “Giz” Taylor; paternal grandmother, Lucille Henderson; father, Leroy Henderson Sr; cousins, Mavion Thomas and Len Mitchell Jr., all preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Jared Henderson Sr. of Raytown, Missouri; her mother, Jean Gilbert, and bonus father Larry Gilbert Sr. of Independence, Missouri; her daughter, Kia Leach (Ricky) of Kansas City, Missouri; her son, Willie E. Reed III (Leah) of Kansas City, Missouri; bonus children, Jalisa Henderson, Jared Henderson Jr., Deon Henderson, and Deandre Henderson all of Kansas City, Missouri; her siblings, Randall Mitchell of Raytown, Missouri, Faaon Mitchell (Kim) of Olathe, Kansas, Leroy Henderson Jr. of Dallas, Texas and Crystal Dyson of Calabasas, California; her bonus siblings, Quentin Gilbert (Tracy) of Fayetteville, NC, Larry Gilbert Jr. (Cashunda) of Dallas, Texas, Steven Gilbert of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Tomasha Gilbert-Williams (Myron) of Raymore, Missouri; her grandchildren, Sayvia, Ricky Jr., Marielle, Karter, Karlee, and several bonus grandchildren; her very loyal best friends, Sharon Carruthers-Gilliam and Elvira Drew Smith, and a host of family and friends who were all touched by her spirit.
