Clemmie Slatton Obituary

Clemmie Mae Pruitt Fowler Slatton, 86, wife of the late Lewis Joshua "L.J." Slatton, passed away October 4, 2025. A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Garrison Plumley and Irene Pruitt Pittman, she was a retired employee of Michelin and a member of Highland Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Scott Slatton (Angie) of Blythewood, South Carolina and Russell Slatton (Kathryn) of Pelzer, South Carolina; nine grandchildren, Adam Styles, Zachary Fowler, Cody Fowler (Inessa), Marianda Craine (Todd), Rebekah Fowler, Nolan Slatton, Joshua Slatton, Abbie Slatton, and Lucas Slatton; five great-grandchildren, Chance Styles, Jada Styles, Curtis Styles, Mia Fowler, and Jack Fowler; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Amon Earnest Fowler, four children, Terry Fowler, Tony Fowler, Debra Jones, and Marilyn Fowler and a sister, Betty Wooten. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Highland Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Mr. Todd Craine. Visitation will be held after the service at the cemetery.
