Cj McAlister Obituary

Charles Jefferson McAlister, II
CJ McAlister, 42 of Powdersville, SC passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Born in Greenville, SC, CJ was the son of Charlie McAlister. He was husband of 19 years to Dania McAlister, brother to Ashley McAlister and Kate McAlister.
He was the extremely proud father to Lilith Megan Rhiannon McAlister, Bradley Aiden Lee McAlister & Tegan Madelyn Rae McAlister. He spoke frequently of his love for his children and loved to boast about their achievements.
CJ was a lifelong comic book reader and enjoyed all things nerdy. Some of his favorites were Batman, Star Trek and Star Wars, and he shared a favorite show with his kids: Mystery Science Theater 3000. CJ was a musician and Saturday guitar jam sessions with his children were one of his greatest delights. He loved to tell corny Bad Dad jokes, and he has already passed that down to his son (he lovingly renamed them "Bad Brad" jokes).
His larger-than-life personality touched the lives of so many people. There are thousands of stories we could share and still never touch on the impact he had on those he met.
There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial on Saturday May 3, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., at The Artistry Workshop and Gallery, 12 Andrews St., Greenville, SC 29611.
We are encouraging guests to wear CJ's favorite color, purple, to honor his memory. He was a casual person, and we invite you to honor that by dressing in whatever makes you comfortable.
There will be a brief introduction and Celebration of CJ's life, followed by an open hour of celebratory storytelling, laughter and memories. We warmly welcome anyone who wishes to speak.
We are asking that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made for his children's education https://gofund.me/0e3ddb3f
Friends are encouraged to share their favorite memories of CJ with the family by clicking on the button labeled "Share A Memory".
