Chester Rambo Obituary

Chester Daniel "Dan" Rambo, 76, husband of Gay Rambo, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Born on October 7, 1948, in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, to Chester and Betty Rambo, Dan was a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished grandfather whose warmth and humor touched the lives of all who knew him. Dan faithfully served in the United States Navy from April 5, 1968, until January 14, 1974. He spent countless hours fishing, watching Pittsburgh Steelers games, and creating precious memories with his family - particularly enjoying time spent with his treasured grandchildren and his loyal dog, Daisy. In addition to his loving wife of 55 years, Dan is survived by his sons, Sam (Joy) and Doug (Stephanie); six grandchildren, Naomi, Claire, Samantha, Troy, Jenna, and Carson; and four siblings, Darryl, Lynn, David, and Mark. There will be a Recitation of the Rosary on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast followed by a time of visitation until 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 11th at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. In this difficult time, the family invites all who knew Dan to come together to honor his memory and pay their respects. His warmth, humor, and kindness will be deeply missed, but the love he shared will forever remain in our hearts.
