Cheryl Rankin Obituary

Cheryl Lynn Rankin of Duncan SC died at her home on June 20, 2025. She was born in Newberry, Michigan to the late Sharon and Ronald Brusseau. Cheryl graduated from high school in 1986 and enlisted in the US Air Force where she reach the rank of Sargent. She was stationed in Okinawa, Japan for four years and continued her service at Wright Patterson Airforce Base in Dayton Ohio for an additional two years during the period of Desert Storm. Upon leaving the serivce in order to raise her son, she received an Honorable Discharge.

She is survived by her son, Bryse Rankin; brother, Keith Brusseau; and sisters, Laurie Kloos, Jule Adams, and Janet Bellmore.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Rankin.

Cheryl will be honored by the Air Force and laid to rest at Nashville National Cemetery where she will be entombed and placed on the Honor Wall.
