Cheryl Meyer Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cheryl Phyllis Meyer, who departed this life on September 19, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on August 20, 1964, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Cheryl was a beloved daughter, mother, and friend. Cheryl was a woman with an enormous heart who cherished her family, especially her beloved son Zach. She found solace in nature and had a special affection for her cats, who brought her so much joy. Those who knew Cheryl remember her as a delight to be around-someone whose warmth and love touched everyone she met. Cheryl is survived by her loving mother, Phyllis Greineisen, her cherished son, Zachary Meyer, her dedicated partner, Richard Fortune, and many friends near and far. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched. In honor of Cheryl's memory, the family invites those who knew and loved her to reflect on the joy she brought into their lives. As we gather to mourn her passing, let us share memories that remind us of her kindness, compassion, and unwavering spirit. A private service will be held in New Jersey at a later date. In lieu of flowers, simply share a kind word with someone in her memory. Friends are encouraged to share their favorite memories of Cheryl with the family by clicking on the button labeled "Share A Memory."
