Charles Fisher Obituary

Charles Reuben Fisher, 94, passed away August 13, 2025. A native of Greenville County, South Carolina, son of the late Reuben John and Annie Mae Henson Fisher, he was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, retired owner and operator of Fisher's Orchard, and a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Bertha Dillard Fisher of the home; a granddaughter, Brandi McKinney (Chad) of Greer; a grandson, Kyle Williams of Spartanburg; a sister, Lannie F. Durham (Bruce) of Greer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Judy Bright, Mary Greene, Ben Dillard, and Frankie Dillard; and nieces and nephews, Chris and Tim Salter, and Mark and Georgia Fisher. Mr. Fisher was predeceased by a brother, Thomas M. Fisher and a sister, Elizabeth F. Ponder. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mark Smith and Rev. Ted Conwell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, 572 Mount Lebanon Church Road, Greer, South Carolina 29651. Online condolences may be at www.thewoodmortuary.com.
