Charles Cranford Obituary

Cochran – Charles C. Cranford, age 85, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 21, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at Limestone Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Charles was a lifelong resident of Bleckley County. He was the son of the late James Carlton and Bertha Slaughter Cranford and was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Cranford. Mr. Charles was retired from Cochran Police Department after 31 years of service and a former Bleckley County Sherriff Deputy. He served on the Cochran City Council for 15 years and loved fishing and hunting. Mr. Charles was a member of Limestone Baptist Church.
Survivors are his sons, Andy (Pamela) Cranford of Eastman and Troy Cranford of Chester; his grandchildren, Jacob, Jayci, Skylar, Carlie and Maleiah; great grandchildren, Sonny Kate, Fallon Jade, Memphis, Maverick, Madden, Dalex, Laken, Eliza and Alice; several nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends from 2:00 P.M. until time for the service Monday at Limestone Baptist Church.
