Charlene Marie Knight, a beloved matriarch and devoted servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026. Born on October 8, 1942, in
Bakersfield, California, Charlene lived a life full of unwavering faith, love, and kindness that touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Cleo "Gert" Goltz, her son, Donnie Henry, sisters, Gwendolyn Hill and Lorna Roper, as well as her brother, Randall Goltz.
Charlene was deeply dedicated to her family, which includes her loving husband, Michael Knight; her daughters, Pamela Frazier (Steve) and Karen Henry; her son, Chris Henry (Kelly); her beloved grandchildren, and her cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, John, Chuck, and Alan Goltz. Charlene's warmth, infectious smile, and compassionate spirit will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
A devout Catholic, Charlene's faith was a guiding force in her life. She actively served her church community, always ready to lend a helping hand to others in need. Her professional journey included a meaningful career as an Associate Manager with the Veterans Affairs, which she complemented with her involvement in the Mauldin and Fountain Inn Chambers of Commerce.
Funeral services will be held on March 19, 2026, beginning with visitation at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Charlene are invited to join in celebrating her life and honoring her memory. Following the Mass, Charlene will be laid to rest in Graceland East Memorial Park.
