Carolyn Lewis Obituary

Greer, South Carolina

Mrs. Carolyn W. Lewis, widow of Calvin L. Lewis, Sr., daughter of the late Frank and Mary C. Waddell, passed Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Carolyn was a devoted mother and grandmother and a faithful servant of Jehovah. She lived a life defined by her deep love for her family and her unwavering commitment to her faith.

A Life of Faith and Family

For 37 years, she was a dedicated Jehovah's Witness. She found her greatest joy in sharing "the truth" with others, offering hope and comfort through her ministry. Her faith was the guiding light of her life; she was well known in her community for her zeal and her kind teaching spirit.

She was the beloved wife of Calvin L. Lewis, Sr., with whom she shared over 52 beautiful years of marriage before he passed in 2021. Together, they built a legacy of love that will continue through their children and grandchildren.

Her Loving Legacy

She was a loving and nurturing mother who centered her world around her children. Her memory will be cherished by her children, Sandra (Derek) Smith of Simpsonville, SC; son, Calvin L. (Dottie) Lewis, Jr., of Spartanburg, SC; her grandchildren, Montravious Gio (Britanny) Lewis, Shauntrel Hargrove, Camaya Lewis, Porsha Lewis, Lloyd Warden, Darryl Warden, Darryen Warden and D J Smith; her great-grandchildren, Dallas Barber and Kajus Barber; her four siblings who will miss her dearly, Mary Lou Berry of Startex, SC, William Waddell of Duncan, SC, James Waddell of Spartanburg, SC and Bobby Waddell of Moore, SC; along with a host of other family and friends.

An Earthly Reunion

She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin; her parents, Frank and Mary Catherine Waddell; her brother, Ray G. Waddell; her granddaughter, Tiyante Lewis; her beloved son, Frank James Lewis and a niece, Angela Berry!

"He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore"--Revelation 21:4
