Carol Cadieux Harris, 74, of
Greenville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, September 5, 2025.
Born October 6, 1950, in St. Albans, Vermont, Carol was a daughter of the late Phillip and Leah Meyer Cadieux. She was predeceased by her parents, with her father having proudly served as a military police officer in World War II.
Carol devoted her professional life to education, working for many years as a librarian and media specialist with the Greenville County School District, where she served students and teachers at J.L. Mann and Greenville High School. She touched countless lives through her dedication, warmth, and love of learning.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel Harris of the home; her beloved children, Jason Brown (Gwendolyn) and Jennifer Bishop (Matthew). She was Memaw to her adoring grandchildren, Daphne Brown and Ansley and Levi Bishop; her sister, Sandi Goldring (George) of St. Albans, Vermont; and her many cousins and extended family members who cherished her deeply.
Carol lived a full and vibrant life. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed snow skiing, and found joy in knitting prayer shawls for others. She had a boundless kindness for all animals, a love of musical theater, and a heart that radiated generosity. Above all, Carol adored her children and grandchildren, always putting their needs before her own. Her family will forever treasure the memories of her overflowing holiday tables, lovingly prepared with homemade meals that brought everyone together.
Carol will be remembered for her love, her laughter, and her unwavering devotion to family and friends.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2025. Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 2240 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, SC 296981.
