Brenda Jones Obituary

Brenda K. Boyce-Jones was born on February 10, 1952, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to the late Willie Ruth Martin and the late David James Boyce, Sr. Affectionately known as "B.K.," she lived a life filled with love, joy, and faith. She delighted in cooking, music, family card games, and bingo. Her favorite color was purple, and she was a devoted member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, where her love for God and her church family was evident.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Jones, Jr.; brother, Leon Boyce; and niece, Casonya Boyce.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cynthia Jones Crosby, Howard Jones III (Carmen), and James A. Jones Sr., all of Spartanburg, SC; her siblings, David James (Sharon K) Boyce Jr. of Columbus, GA, Helen Pearl Davis, and Annie Ruth Thompson, both of Spartanburg, SC; her beloved grandchildren, Courtney Crosby, Brandi Crosby, Tyra Holcombe, Jurnee Jones, Malia Jones, and James A. Jones Jr.; and her great-grandchildren, Taylor Crosby, Khloe Hoey, and Steven Hoey Jr. She also leaves behind dear friends, Helen Dean, Barbara Booker, and Wonda Brown; her nieces and nephews, Erica Thompson, Ciji Davis, Doris E. Moore, Shantae Booker, Valarie Boyce (Erricson), and David Allen Boyce; along with a host of grandnieces, grandnephews, other relatives, and friends.

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, Brenda transitioned peacefully at the Spartanburg Medical Center. Her radiant presence, unwavering faith, and enduring love will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
