Bobbie Nimmons Obituary

Bobbie Sue Nimmons, 76, of Piedmont, died Sunday, July 6, 2025. Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mattie Thacker Lark. She was a loving mother and wonderful friend. Bobbie Sue had a big heart and found joy in making others feel welcomed and loved. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed traveling to the beach and mountains and spending time admiring the beauty of nature. Her precious dog, Carly, was her constant companion whom she loved dearly. Prior to her retirement, Bobbie Sue worked at JP Stevens as a Lab Technician for over 20 years. She was a member of Piedmont Church of God. She is survived by brother, Ernest Lark; caregiver, Evelyn Irby; three nephews, Steve Lark, Kevin Lark, and Brian Lark; and four nieces, Tammy Washburn, Teresa Thompson, Dawn Bell, and Amanda Bartschat. In addition to her parents, Bobbie Sue was preceded in death by her son, David Nimmons, and three brothers, Ronald Lark, James Lark, and Joseph Lark. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial to follow in Graceland Cemetery West. Friends are encouraged to share their favorite memories of Bobbie Sue with the family by clicking on the button labeled "Share A Memory".
