Bobbie Godfrey Obituary

Bobbie Moody Godfrey, 93, of Greenville, SC passed away Monday, October 13, 2025. Born in Taylors, SC, she was a daughter of the late Jasper Moody and Nina Simpson Moody. Bobbie had a very successful life-long career in retail sales. She loved working in her yard, listening to music and visiting Lake Hartwell. Bobbie waterskied up into her late 50's. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lake Marvin Cely; second husband, Henry Belton Godfrey; three sisters, Doris Brookshire, Mary Leah Calmes and Kathleen Moody; two brothers, Clifford Moody and Kenneth Moody; and a grandson, Bryan Cely. Left to cherish Bobbie's memory are her two sons, Lake Scott Cely (Lisa Uldrick) and Anthony Brook Cely (Alicia); sister, Carolyn Thompson; three grandchildren, Andrea, Michael and Lauren; and four great grandchildren, Seth, Matt, Nate and Michael. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
