Billy Green Obituary

Billy Ray Green, 87, passed away October 23, 2025. A native of Duncan, South Carolina, son of the late William Darwin Green and Sally Turner Green Dovis, he served in the U.S. Army National Guard and was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. Billy was a master carpenter and potter and loved hunting and fishing. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Linda Henson Green of the home; a daughter, Sonya Renae Green of Franklin, North Carolina; a son, Terry Ray Green of Florida; a sister, JoAnn Dovis Waddell of Duncan, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Shay Holcombe (Brett), Autumn Crunkleton, and Justen Crunkleton (Sally); and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Bobby Green and a sister, Dot Rogers. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2025, at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. David Walker, Rev. Ted Conwell, and Mr. Tony Stewart. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, 572 Mount Lebanon Church Road, Greer, South Carolina 29651. Online condolences may be made at www.thewoodmortuary.com.
