Billy Green Obituary

Billy Ray Green, 87, passed away October 23, 2025. A native of Duncan, South Carolina, son of the late William Darwin Green and Sally Turner Green Dovis, he served in the U.S. Army National Guard and was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. Billy was a master carpenter and potter and loved hunting and fishing. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Linda Henson Green of the home; a daughter, Sonya Renae Green of Franklin, North Carolina; a son, Terry Ray Green of Florida; a sister, JoAnn Dovis Waddell of Duncan, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Shay Holcombe (Brett), Autumn Crunkleton, and Justen Crunkleton (Sally); and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Bobby Green and a sister, Dot Rogers. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2025, at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. David Walker, Rev. Ted Conwell, and Mr. Tony Stewart. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
