Betty Fowler Obituary

Betty Louise Fowler, 89, wife of Redmond G. Fowler of Greenville, died Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at home. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Helen Hodgens McCarter. Betty attended Draughn's Business College and was a member of Sans Souci Baptist Church. She worked as a secretary for Furman University until retirement. Betty enjoyed the pets she had in her home, crossword puzzles, and traveling. In addition to her husband of 65 years, she is survived by two daughters, Susan Collins (Tony) and Sherrie Aldridge (Rob); two grandchildren, Rachel Aldridge (Brett) and Will Aldridge; and sister, Patricia Barnett. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greenville County Animal Care, 328 Furman Hall Road Building A, Greenville, SC 29609 WEBSITE Friends are encouraged to share their favorite memories of Betty with the family by clicking on the button labeled "Share A Memory".
