Betsy Whisnant Obituary

Betsy Ann Moore Whisnant, 77, of Spartanburg, passed peacefully in her sleep on October 5, 2024 after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Gregory Whisnant Sr. Betsy is survived by her son, Gregory Whisnant Jr. of Spartanburg, her younger brother, Joseph Moore of Spartanburg and two nieces; Lindsay Moore Bartholomew of Spartanburg and Chrisa Moore of Jacksonville, Florida.

She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church and the Lottie Moon Mission in Spartanburg. Betsy owned and operated several Page's Uniform Shops throughout SC until her retirement.

Services will be private for the family and close friends. Memorials may be made to Mobile Meals, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.

To quote our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her late Daddy's favorite Bible verse... "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am among them"- Mathew 18:20.

Betsy was such a a precious lady. We at First Baptist loved her so much. She was very active in the ROTO Senior Ladies Group. She was always busy helping set the tables and getting everything ready. She is missed greatly. Our prayers for your family.
