Benny Staton Obituary

Benny Doyle Staton, Jr. passed away July 29, 2025. A native of Greer, South Carolina, son of the late Benny Doyle Staton, Sr. and Juanita Bagwell Staton, he was an employee of Diamond Wire Spring and a member of Highland Church of God of Prophecy. Surviving are his wife, Audrey Bryant Staton of the home; two daughters, Buffie Robinson and Melissa Moore both of Landrum; a brother, Tommy Staton of Florida; three grandchildren, Casie Robinson, Dylon Smith, and Dakota Robinson; and two great-grandchildren, Levi Scruggs and Felicity Scruggs. He was predeceased by three sisters, Kathy Julian, Debbie Beaman, and Jenny Turner. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Highland Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery conducted by Pastor Allen Good and Rev. Julian Holloway. Visitation will be held 1:00-1:45 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the church. The family is at the home. Online condolences may be made at www.thewoodmortuary.com.
