Ben Fowler Obituary

Ben Fowler, Jr., 93, husband of the late Beulah Slay Fowler, died Monday, April 28, 2025. Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Ben F. and Ida Sloan Fowler, Sr. Ben was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He and Beulah were faithful members of Sandy Springs Baptist Church and the Fifty-niners club. He is survived by daughters, Marie Paxton (James), and Linda Frost; son, Douglas Fowler; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Ben was preceded in death by his son, Randy Martin and his sisters, Imogene Jordan, Idalena Grant, Imozelle Morris. A visitation will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Sandy Springs Baptist Church, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Renovation Fund of Sandy Springs Baptist Church, 371 Sandy Springs Road, Pelzer, SC 29669. Friends are encouraged to share their favorite memories of Ben with the family by clicking on the button labeled "Share A Memory".
