Becky Hughey Obituary

Lila Rebecca Ayers "Becky" Hughey, 90, widow of Charles William Hughey, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Mrs. Hughey was born in Langley, SC to the late Curlie Ayers and Lila Louise Bowie Ayers. She was a member of Bessie Road Baptist Church and maintained an active "card" ministry for many years. Becky retired from Pharmaceutical Associates. Her greatest joy was being Grandmama to her fourteen great-grandchildren. Surviving are two sons, Steve Hughey (Desiree) and Leonard Hughey (Mary); two daughters, Rhonda Orr and Theresa Price (Wayne); seven grandsons, Kyle Hughey (Kristin), Adam Hughey (Alison), Justin Hughey (Judy), William Orr (Stephanie), Danny Hatt (Felipe), Chris Harrison (Stevie), and Josh Kidd (Constance); and fourteen great-grandchildren, Lola, Greta, Foxx, Francie, Blakely, Charlie Kate, Payton, Keagan, Aiden, Rhyan, Lilah, Anna, Demii and Sam. She was predeceased by fifteen brothers and sisters; a son-in-law, David Orr; and a daughter-in-law, Becky Y. Hughey. Memorials in Becky's honor may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
