Bruce Bennett Obituary

Bruce Raymond Bennett of Manchester, is now " 'absent from the body, present with the Lord' (II Cor. 5:6-8). Born of the flesh May 23, 1948, entered glory August 13, 2025.

From a young age, Bruce enjoyed working on his parents farm, fixing things and looking for a good deal. Throughout his life, and especially in his job as an insurance agent, he greatly valued his friendships with all those around him.

Bruce married the love of his life Linda in 1972. They greatly enjoyed their time together with their two daughters, grandchildren, family and friends.

Bruce is survived by his daughters, Sandy (Andy) McKinney (Statesville, N.C.), Jill (Rick) Clinard (Winston Salem, N.C.); grandchildren, Eli, Ella, Owen, Stella, and Bennett (who brought him great joy); brother Brad (Treva) Bennett (New Franklin, Oh); and Libby Smith, his companion of many years. His wife and parents (Glenn & Jessie) greeted him in heaven.

Bruce will be honored on Saturday, August 23 with a funeral at 1pm at Grace Bible Church on Manchester Road with visitation there at the church after the funeral from 2pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruce's name can be made to one of his favorite ministries that provides a loving, Christ-centered home for abandoned children.
