Arien LeVar Cross, affectionately known as "Fat Boy," was born on December 6, 1979, in
Spartanburg, South Carolina, to Annie Louise Cross Clark and the Willie Frank Greer, Jr. He was raised by stepfather, Kenneth Clark. He was educated in the Spartanburg County School District.
Arien was everyone's person. He had a loving spirit and a heart that drew people to him. He truly loved to cook and found joy in expressing himself through fashion and shopping. He played an active role in helping to raise his nieces and nephews and cherished his family deeply. Arien was a loyal friend who stood firmly by those he loved. He was a loving father to his daughter Arieyana Cross.
He was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Lakers. Arien also attended New Faith International Church, where he found spiritual connection and community.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Jessie B. Cross; maternal great-grandmother, Gertrude Watts; grandfathers, Willie Frank Greer, Sr. and Harvest Beachem; aunt, Alberta Means; and uncle, Wilton Cross.

Arien transitioned on Saturday, December 13, 2025, he will be missed sorely.
