Annabelle Kennedy Obituary

Annabelle Cunningham Kennedy, 70, wife of the late Curtis Paul Kennedy, died Monday, October 13, 2025. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Harry Lee Cunningham, Jr. and Ruth Culbertson Cunningham. Annabelle will always be remembered for the love, care, and joy she brought to everyone she met. She knew how to brighten everyone's day with her kind words, love of remembering and celebrating birthdays, her family's delicious chocolate chip cookies, and strong and unwavering faith in the Lord. She was a 1973 graduate of Wade Hampton High School. She attended North Greenville Junior College and graduated from Mars Hill College in 1982 with a BA in Early Childhood Education. She ran a loving home daycare for over 25 years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Greenville. In addition to her daughter, Ruth Ann Zimmerman and son-in-law, Britton Searing Zimmerman, she is survived by; sister, Mary Lou Dodd; brother, Harry L. Cunningham III (Dawn); nephew, Michael Dodd (Kathryn); niece, Anna Ratterree (Alex); niece, Margaret Dodd; nephew, Harry L. Cunningham IV; great-nephews, James and Nate Dodd; and great-nieces, Lola and Lizzie Dodd, and many sweet sister and brother in-laws, nieces, nephews, and their children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Paul Kennedy, and her brother-in-law, Mike Dodd. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Greenville on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Many thanks to all who helped in making Annabelle's last days comfortable and full of love.
